Therapeutic Diet Options
At Tiverton Park Manor, we understand that nutrition plays a vital role in overall health and well-being, especially as dietary needs change with age or medical conditions. That’s why we offer a wide range of therapeutic diet options, carefully tailored to meet individual health requirements while still delivering meals that are both nourishing and enjoyable.
Our dietary team works closely with residents, families, physicians, and registered dietitians to ensure each person receives meals that support their specific medical needs. Whether your loved one requires a diabetic-friendly menu, low-sodium meals, texture-modified diets, or allergen-sensitive options, we can accommodate with care and precision
Frequently asked questions
TPM can rest assured that your loved ones are in capable and caring hands. We are committed to providing exceptional care that enhances the quality of life for each and every client.
At what point does my parent’s care become too much for Tiverton Park Manor?
Tiverton Park Manor is a true home where residents are supported throughout all stages of aging, including end-of-life care. While there are rare cases where someone’s care needs exceed what we can safely provide, our team works closely with families and healthcare professionals to develop enhanced care plans whenever possible. We have Registered Nurses on staff to perform assessments and coordinate with medical providers. In partnership with Ontario Health at Home, we also offer access to subsidized enhanced care services delivered by our in-house Personal Support Workers. Many residents are able to stay with us for the rest of their lives.
Can my loved one receive additional help as their needs change?
Yes. Care plans are flexible and updated regularly to reflect any changes in support needs. This may include assistance with dressing, incontinence care, mechanical lift transfers, palliative care, or daily reminders and portering.
Are the meals pre-made or prepared fresh?
All meals at Tiverton Park Manor are made fresh from scratch in our kitchen, including baked goods. We take pride in serving nutritious, homemade meals using quality ingredients.
Do you organize resident outings?
Yes, we schedule special outings throughout the year based on resident interests. Transportation is arranged through Saugeen Mobility, which provides an accessible vehicle and driver. For medical appointments or personal errands, residents arrange their own transportation through Saugeen Mobility or another provider of their choice. We do not offer on-site transport services.
Is there a house doctor?
Residents continue to see their own family physician and are not assigned an on-site doctor.
Are exercise classes available?
Yes. Exercise classes are currently provided twice a week by the Victorian Order of Nurses. These sessions are adapted to each resident’s abilities, ensuring everyone can participate regardless of mobility.
Is Tiverton Park Manor a locked facility?
No. We are not a locked facility. Exterior doors are secured at night to prevent outside entry, but they remain accessible from the inside at all times without the need for a code or staff assistance.
